All undergraduates starting any degree course from September 2007 and all Undergraduate Modular Scheme (UMS) courses regardless of start date Midwifery and Teacher Education students should check the notes below
Honours degree classification will be calculated in one of two ways and the Board of Examiners will confirm whichever of the two methods results in the higher classification. Please note that if a studetns has been admitted directly to level 6, the calculation will be determined by the student's performance at level 6 only (Method 2).
Method 1: classification is determined on the profile of the best three grades (45 credits) achieved at Level 5 and the best 8 grades (120 credits) at Level 6
Method 2: classification is determined on the profile of the best 8 grades (120 credits) at Level 6

Students admitted prior to September 2007 to courses which are not part of the UMS Scheme are calculated in a different way, please refer to the relevant course regulations.
Students admitted to Midwifery and Teacher Education courses from September 2007 will be calculated using the above classification methods. |
