Role and Responsibility

The Apprenticeship Office manages the University of Worcester Apprenticeship Programmes operational processes and procedures. This is to ensure the University, School and course team meet the Department for Education (DfE) and Office for Students (OfS) Apprenticeship legal regulations. This work includes preparing course teams and our stakeholders to meet the requirements of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (for skills and apprenticeships) and Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Apprenticeship Funding Rules. As part of our work we will also support Schools and course teams with employer engagement.

All documents related to new course development are hosted on the Academic Quality Unit information page AQU Apprenticeships . However, the Apprenticeship Office work in partnership with AQU, to support course teams in the development of new, or the update of existing apprenticeship programmes.
