Bus Passes

Due to the current situation, from Monday 23 March 2020, route 31 will not be able to serve the University of Worcester Campus.

Journeys outbound from Worcester are not affected.

Inbound, the buses are not able to serve stops at:

•            University Henwick Gate

•            University Student's Union

•            Oldbury Road/University Gates

For journeys to Worcester from these stops you can:

•            Board at Oldbury Road/University Gates (and travel around Henwick Park before returning to the city centre)

•            Walk to alternative stop at Henwick Road (Holywell Hill)

•            From Thursday 26 March, buses will operate as a '31A' and will not serve Laugherne Road

There are several discounted tickets available for University of Worcester students and staff.

Bus Tickets

Students and staff at the University of Worcester can get discounted travel within Worcester city.  These can only be purchased through First Bus m-Ticket app, which can be downloaded from First Travel Apps webpageWhen you register, you must sign-up using your University of Worcester email address.

Once you have downloaded the app and validated your account with your University email address, you will have access to the following tickets:

Pack of 10 Worcester City Student Ticket:

10 single journey tickets which can be used on any First local bus service in the Worcester City area, including weekends and holiday periods.
Cost: £7.50
Activate your ticket just before you board.

Academic Year Tickets:

Unlimited travel on all First local bus services within the local Worcester City area, including weekends and holiday periods.
Academic year: 16th September 2019 to 29th May 2020.  Cost: £115
Extended year option 1: 2nd September 2019 to 10th July 2020. Cost: £145
Extended year option 2: 2nd September 2019 to 31st July 2020. Cost: £160

Once you’ve purchased your ticket or pass, it will be available in your First Bus Wallet on the app.  Place your device under the ticket machine scanner on the bus to scan the QR code.

All dates and prices are correct as of September 2019, but please check the First Bus website for the most up-to-date information.

First Bus Company have advised, as of 17th September 2018, that the 75p student ticket is no longer available to purchase on the bus.
