Microsoft Teams

Please see this webpage if you're looking for information about Zoom.

What is Teams?

Microsoft Teams is part of the Office 365 Application Suite. Teams is a hub for team work and collaboration, where you can instant message, arrange video and voice chat, share documents and create channels for discussions on different topics.

How do I have a Teams site setup?

Teams can be setup for University Staff, Students and external guests. Teams sites are created by the IT Service. You can request a Team site to be setup through the IT Self-Service Portal.

Each site will have at least 2 dedicated administrators responsible for the sites content. A Teams site will need to be renewed every 180 days, otherwise it will be deleted along with any content. For advice on how to manage your Teams site please see this guide: Administrator Guide

How do I access Teams?

Desktop app: this is installed on all University devices. You can download teams as part of the Office 365 Suite. Click here for instructions to install Office 365.
