Within Accommodation our main aim is to ensure that our first year students have a smooth transition into university life. 

Living away from home for the first time can be a daunting prospect. But we are on hand from the moment our students move in during Welcome Weekend in September to the day that they graduate.

Although we only accommodate students in their first year of study at the University of Worcester, we are still here to offer advice and support when finding accommodation in the local area.

Welcome Weekend

During this weekend, all of Estates & Facilities comes together to welcome all of the new students moving into our halls of residence. This typically takes place in the middle of September, but we do also accommodate for early arrivals dependent on their courses. 

Once the students have moved in, there tends to be a lot of movement within the first few weeks. Therefore, if you are aware a student is currently not happy in their accommodation, please complete a 'Room Transfer Request' form available online.

 

Open Days

Open Days take place all throughout the year and our part in this is to show all students visiting the University our variety of accommodation. 

On the day we typically have one or more of each of our standards of accommodation open for visitors to go into and look around. We have lots of staff working the Open Days and we are all here to answer any questions or direct them in right way.
