Marie Sktodowska-Curie actions
Marie Sktodowska-Curie actions
The Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions (MSCA), named after the double Nobel Prize winning Polish-French scientist famed for her work on radioactivity, support researchers at all stages of their careers, irrespective of nationality. Researchers working across all disciplines, from life-saving healthcare to 'blue-sky' science, are eligible for funding. The MSCA also support industrial doctorates, combining academic research study with work in companies, and other innovative training that enhances employability and career development.
The following funding opportunities are available through the programme:
- Research networks (ITN) support for Innovative Training Networks that develop new researchers
- Individual fellowships (IF) support for experienced researchers undertaking mobility between countries, with the option to work outside academia
- Research and Innovation Staff Exchanges (RISE) for international and inter-sectoral cooperation
- Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes that finance research training or fellowships involving mobility to or from another country
The MSCA also funds the European Researchers' Night (NIGHT), public events involving researchers which take place every year across Europe on the fourth Friday of September.
