Your camera and mic will be automatically disabled, until you are made a presenter by a member of staff. Please keep your camera and mic off until you are invited to present by the moderator. Once you’ve finished your presentation please mute your mic and turn camera off.
You will be given a specific time slot the week before and are welcome to attend for all or part of the session. Please enter the room at least 10 minutes prior to your presentation.
Your session can include a brief description of your organisation, opportunities you can offer for students, what sorts of students/ graduates you are looking for, and application routes.
You are invited to give a 5 minute presentation. The timing of this session will be carefully managed, and so you will be asked to complete this section within your allotted period! You will be sent a private message in the chat function when there is 1 minute remaining.
Yes, you are invited to share a maximum of 3 PowerPoint slides. These must be submitted to careers@worc.ac.uk by midday on the day before the event. Your slides will be added to the room by a member of staff, but you will have the ability to control them yourself.
Students will be asked to save any questions they have for the individual virtual stands session later.
Whilst you’re probably already familiar with Zoom or Teams, you may not have previously used Blackboard Collaborate. It is very straightforward to operate and we will have instructions on the screen on the day, however you may find this video useful.
If you’re in the Collaborate room, staff will be available during the employer panel. We will be identifiable and can be privately messaged through the chat function. If you are having any technical issues and cannot enter the room, please email careers@worc.ac.uk.
