Extension Requests

Dissertations, Independent Studies and Research Projects are unlike other assessments you may complete during your studies. As a result, they are the only assessment for which you can request an extension.

There may be occasions when you experience problems outside of your control which will prevent you from submitting your dissertation. If you are unable to complete your work by the submission date, please speak to your supervising tutor about applying for an extension.  

If applying for an extension is an appropriate option, you should visit the 'Course Information' tab of your SOLE page, then click on the 'IS/Dissertation/Project Extension Request' button to start the process. The extension request must be completed at least 2 weeks before the original hand in date.
