About firstpoint

Who are we?

firstpoint is a helpdesk for current and prospective students at the University of Worcester. We are the front desk for Student Services but we can also answer questions on a variety of topics and signpost to other teams across the University.

You can keep up to date with our news and events by subscribing to the firstpoint blog.


 

We’re here to help, so that you can make the most of your time at university and develop to your full potential. You don't need to book an appointment to speak with a firstpoint adviser, but you can email firstpoint@worc.ac.uk in advance if you'd like to arrange to speak privately. 

If you’re not sure exactly what question to ask, please come and have a chat; we’re ready to listen and, in most cases, if we don’t know the answer ourselves, we know who to ask. 

The team is made up of Advisers and a Manager. We come from a range of backgrounds and have a wide experience and knowledge base, and several of us were students here at Worcester.

Our website has been built to give information and guidance covering the main issues and events which may impact you while you are a student. However, if you can’t find what you’re looking for, please get in touch.

Who are Student Services?

Student Services is a department at the University of Worcester, made up of a range of specialist teams who are here to support you through your studies and who are available throughout the year. firstpoint operates as the front desk for these teams and can help guide you to the services you need.

Student Services incorporates:

firstpoint may request some personal information from you so that we can respond to your enquiry.

We will share this information only with those services or departments within the University that are necessary to assist with your enquiry.


We may also use the information collected to evaluate and report on the firstpoint service.
