Money and Finance

Support from the Money Advice Service
Money and finances are a significant part of ensuring you are able to stay on your course. If you are struggling to make payments, experiencing hardship, or having difficulties completing an application to Student Finance for any reason, our Money Advice Service can provide practical help and advice. 

Your specific circumstances could entitle you to additional forms of funding and the Money Advisers will be able to help you make sure you are accessing everything you are entitled to and explore all of your options.  They can also help with budgeting, information about benefits and tax and advice for life after university.  Find out how to book an appointment.

Access to Learning Fund
You may wish to consider applying for the Access to Learning Fund, which is a non-repayable grant administered by the University to help eligible students experiencing financial difficulties.  You can get help completing the application from the Money Advisers or the Students' Union Adviser.

Contacting the Finance Team
If you are finding it difficult to make payments to the University for tuition fees or your accommodation, it is important you communicate with the finance team. They may be able to discuss a payment plan to make the payments more manageable. Please contact the relevant team to ensure best response:

Student Finance Confirmation of Attendance
If you have been awarded your student finance and are awaiting confirmation of your attendance for the funds to be released, please email from your University of Worcester email account and include either your Student Finance Customer Reference Number (CRN) or Student Support Number (SSN). firstpoint can then follow this up with the relevant department for you.
