Wellbeing Support for International Students

Don't be afraid to ask for help if you are feeling overwhelmed or struggling with adjusting to life in a new country. There are many resources available that can provide you with the support you need throughout your studies.

If you have any questions or concerns related to your status as an international student, your first point of contact is our International Experience team. The advisers can discuss subjects such as your visa status, BRP cards, permissions for working alongside your studies or travelling while you are a student.

For situations which are not related to your status as an international student, there is support, information, and guidance available from the University and the Students' Union.

Housing:

Where you live during your studies can have a significant effect on your wellbeing and consequently impact on how well you do on your course.

Wellbeing:

The Student Support and Wellbeing Advisers provide a confidential support service on a broad range of pastoral and welfare issues and would be happy to meet with you about any concerns that are affecting your time at the University of Worcester.

Mental Health

The University is committed to supporting you if you're experiencing emotional or psychological problems, so that you can gain maximum benefit from your university experience and develop your potential to the full.

Money and Finance

If you would like to discuss your finances, including advice on budgeting and opening a bank account in the UK, you can speak with a specialist money adviser.

Careers

Disability and Dyslexia

The University is committed to supporting students who have a disability, medical condition or Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) including dyslexia.

Course and Studies

There are several teams who can offer support and advice if you have difficulties with your course, depending on what concerns you have.

Students' Union

The Students’ Union is an independent charity, devoted to the educational interests and welfare of all students studying at the University. Its members are all students (full-time and part-time) registered for a course of study with the University of Worcester.
