Reach Award

Eligible continuing full-time Home and International (non-UWIC) students, responsible for paying their own tuition fees (eg not NHS funded), progressing into year 1 (if from level 3 UW Foundation Year), year 2, year 3 and 4, will receive a Reach award of £50 for the duration of their studies.

Part-time and Postgraduate students are not eligible.

Academic Achievement Scholarships of £1,000  

The University awards scholarships of £1,000 to eligible undergraduate students in their second and third year of a degree course or second year of a Foundation degree on the basis of their academic achievement in the previous academic year at the University. Students do not apply for these scholarships as they are awarded to eligible students who achieve 120 credits at Grade A- or higher during the previous academic year.

Sports Kit Bursary

University of Worcester offer a bursary for the minimum kit bundle for a limited number of School of Sport and Exercise Science students who are in financial need.

If you are receiving full funding from Student Finance and would like to be considered for this bursary, please contact sportsoffice@worc.ac.uk by the end of September.

There is a limited budget for this bursary, and it will be awarded on a first come first served basis to eligible students. 

University of Worcester Sports Scholarships

Sports scholarships are available to talented athletes in a range of sports.

If awarded a Sports Scholarship students will be placed on one of two pathways: Dual Career Scholarship Student (DCSS) or Performance Potential (PP) as follows:

Dual Career Scholarship Student (DCSS)

As part of this pathway you'll receive:

  • Sports Therapy and injury prevention (pre and rehabilitation)
  • Lifestyle advisor and academic support
  • Performance Analysis Access
  • University of Worcester Clothing bundle
  • Gym membership
  • Anti-doping education (inc ADAMS)
  • Financial Support (up to £2,000)
  • Sports psychology support
  • Nutritional support
  • Fitness testing

Performance Potential (PP)

As part of this pathway you'll receive:

  • Individual S & C
  • Access to Sports Therapy clinic
  • Lifestyle advisor
  • Performance Analysis Access
  • University of Worcester Clothing bundle
  • Gym membership
  • Anti-doping education
  • Financial Support (up to £1,000)
