Academic Achievement Scholarships of £1,000  

The University awards scholarships of £1000 to eligible undergraduate students in their first and second year of a degree course or first year of a Foundation degree or HND on the basis of their academic achievement at the University.

Students do not apply for these scholarships as they are awarded to eligible students with the best academic profiles across the University. 

Sports Kit Bursary

University of Worcester offer a bursary for the minimum kit bundle for a limited number of School of Sport and Exercise Science students who are in financial need.

If you are receiving the full amount of maintenance loan from Student Finance and would like to be considered for this bursary, please complete the online SSES Student Kit Bursary form at: https://bit.ly/3PjDdwF before Friday 30th September 2022 with evidence of your Student Finance funding. You will need to be logged in with your University of Worcester login details to be able to complete the online form. 

There is a limited budget for this bursary, and it will be awarded on a first come first served basis to eligible students. If you have any queries about the kit bursary, please contact sportsoffice@worc.ac.uk

University of Worcester Sports Scholarships

Sports scholarships are available to talented athletes in a range of sports. If awarded a Sports Scholarship students will be placed on one of two pathways: Dual Career Scholarship Student (DCSS) or Performance Potential (PP) as follows:

Dual Career Scholarship Student (DCSS)

As part of this pathway you'll receive:

  • Individual S & C
  • Sports Therapy and injury prevention
  • Lifestyle advisor and academic support
  • Performance Analysis Access
  • University of Worcester Clothing bundle
  • Gym membership
  • Anti-doping education (inc ADAMS)
  • Financial Support (up to £2,000)
  • Sports psychology support
  • Nutritional support
  • Fitness testing

Performance Potential (PP)

As part of this pathway you'll receive:

  • Individual S & C
  • Access to Sports Therapy clinic
  • Lifestyle advisor
  • Performance Analysis Access
  • University of Worcester Clothing bundle
  • Gym membership
  • Anti-doping education
  • Financial Support (up to £1,000)
  • Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology
