Booking & Cancelling Workshops
Booking & Cancelling Workshops
Booking Training and Development Workshops:
To book onto a workshop please use the staff homepage to log into the Staff Portal, go to the Staff Development Workshops link (under 'Applications'), find the session you are interested in and book.
If you want to book a place on an external event and it is eligible for central training funding to cover the costs you must contact: training@worc.ac.uk.
Attending the Workshop:
Please arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled start of the workshop so that the session can start and finish on time. After the workshop you will be asked to complete a feedback form by email. Please do so as it helps us to improve and plan future courses.
Cancelling a Workshop:
If you have to cancel your place on a workshop please email training@worc.ac.uk as soon as you can and no later than two days before the workshop is due to run so that someone else can attend. Alternatively you can nominate a substitute - just let us know. Please note that a cancellation charge of £50 will be made to your School's/Department's budget if you withdraw from a workshop without giving us sufficient notice.
If the Central Training Budget administered by the Human Resources Department has funded your attendance at an external training event, the cancellation fee will be set by the training provider and your department/School will be accountable.
Future Workshops:
We are happy to work with teams and/or individuals to provide training specifically tailored to meet your needs if these are not met by the current workshops we run (either in terms of topics or the timing of sessions).
If you don’t see what you want on Workshop Bookings please don't keep it to yourself. Let us know by adding to your Wish List on the Staff Development Workshop System or contact training@worc.ac.uk and we will do our best to accommodate you.
If there is not enough demand for an advertised workshop we may have to postpone or cancel it. If, on the other hand, a workshop is oversubscribed we will try to repeat it.
