Children/Work Experience
University of Worcester premises are not primarily designed for children (under 16)and there are many hazards that could put them at risk. In addition, University of Worcester has a legal duty to ensure that any visitor will be safe whilst using its premises and there is a higher duty of care when the visitor is a child.
University Policy for Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
In addition there are also risks when a young person (under 18) is on campus, particularly for a work experience placement. The following document provides useful information for staff who may be supervising such a placement.
